Welcome to Class 5S!
We are going to have such an exciting year together!
Mrs Sinnott is the Class teacher
Mrs Weston and Mrs McCormac help us out every day
Miss Kool teaches us on Thursday mornings
Mr Murphy will be teaching us in indoor PE on Wednesday afternoons
Class Information:
Indoor PE is on Wednesday afternoons (pumps, blue shorts, white t-shirt)
Outdoor PE is on Friday afternoons (trainers, blue joggers, blue hoodie)
Everyone can wear their trainers to school on Wednesdays and keep their pumps in their locker
to change in to for the lesson.
Homework will be set every Friday and is due in the following Friday
Staged reading books can be changed twice a week, as long as you have read it at home and your reading diary has been signed by a grown up.
Everyone will choose a school library book to keep in their tray for reading time but you can also bring in a book from home to read in school too!
Autumn Term
This term, we will be focusing on these exciting topics:
- The Ancient Maya civilisation in History
- Climate zones, ocean currents and map-reading skills in Geography
- Macavity the Mystery Cat and King of the Sky in English
- Materials and changing states in Science (with lots of investigations!
