Here at Birkdale Primary we run a special club for our young carers and children who have suffered bereavement. This takes place on a Monday after school. 

This is an opportunity for our children to relax and enjoy themselves. 

Some of the fundraising we have done has included an ice cream sale in the playground and we are planning a cake sale.

We have used this money to fund our activities and we even had a special trip by train to the Southport MegaBowl for an afternoon of bowling!!

The children will be collected from the playground at 4.20pm.

This is what our 'Buddies' say about our club....

We raise money to go out and go to places that our families can't go .  There is always someone to talk to, it doesn't matter what you want to talk about there is always someone there. 

Everytime we come to Birkdale Buddies we always do something fun and we always have biscuits!!!

Some of our activities

• We celebrated Chinese New Year with food tasting and Miss Lee came in and gave us a special talk all about how her family celebrates.
• We made Christmas biscuits and decorated our school Christmas tree 🎄 
• We had a special trip to Vue cinema in Southport. We even got to travel on the train!

Colomendy 2023

Funded by the community tokens in our local Tesco stores, we were lucky enough to have an overnight stay at Colomendy in North Wales. We had a brilliant time and faced lots of fears! We solved problems as a team, used our communication skills in the nightline challenge, swung to the top of the trees on the 3G swing and found our way through the caves with our head torches. We ended our evening with songs and marshmallows around the campfire.
